Module 1 - Basics of Effective Feedback and Transactional Analysis

  • Module flow: Participants will be asked to prepare and perform a simulation of "the worst feedback in the world," which will allow them to understand the consequences of using negative feedback. In the workshop and discussion, a list of good feedback practices will be created. We will then analyze the real reasons why feedback is difficult and rarely used in practice. Participants will learn the theory of transactional analysis, which will help them understand how different forms of transactions affect the feedback process. They will practice using communication tools to build constructive relationships based on the adult-adult transaction, replacing opinions with factual language, informing about consequences, replacing "You" language with "I" language, and expressing their expectations.

  • Module flow: At the beginning of the workshop, participants will be introduced to various forms of giving feedback. The main part of the meeting will be intensive practice of giving and receiving feedback in prepared simulations and those based on the participants' real organizational experiences. Simulations will be conducted using drama work methods, with freeze frames and continuous situation analysis. This way, participants will be ready to apply feedback in practice after the training, providing constructive and positive feedback to their colleagues, in line with the practiced models.
